Orange County Superior Court (2021): Former construction worker’s suit for missed meal and rest periods, overtime, and wage statement violations under California’s Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) promptly dismissed after employer’s showing of accurate timekeeping and other Labor Code-compliant practices.

Whistleblower Retaliation, Wage and Hour Defense

Prelitigation (2021): After animal hospital’s termination of administrator for cause, its demonstration of the latter’s groundless whistleblower and underpayment claims generated prompt resolution, eliminating years of expensive litigation.

Age Discrimination, Gender/Sex Harassment Defense

Prelitigation (2021): Long-time employee’s multiple – and highly contested — claims of wrongful termination against agricultural service company resolved by mediation, thus averting a likely extended lawsuit destructive to all parties.

Los Angeles Superior Court (2016-2018): On demonstration that design company employer took reasonable steps to accommodate long-term employee diagnosed with early onset dementia, case dismissed pretrial.
