Zoom and In Person
By this past January 1, California employers with five or more on payroll were to have provided “at least two hours of classroom or other effective interactive training and education regarding sexual harassment to all supervisory employees” and at least one hour of such training and education “to all nonsupervisory employees in California.” All covered employers must then provide such instruction to each California employee every two years.
The law also requires covered employers to provide the training to new nonsupervisory employees within six months of hire and to new supervisory employees within six months of the assumption of a supervisory position. An employer may provide this training in conjunction with other training provided to the employees.
The required instruction must include: ● information and practical guidance on applicable federal and state law on prevention, correction and remedies of and for sexual harassment; ● “practical examples aimed at instructing supervisors in the prevention of harassment, discrimination, and retaliation”; and ● prevention of abusive conduct.
Trainers and educators must have knowledge and expertise in such prevention. From over 20 years of experience in this field we offer live interactive webinars as a superior alternative, including:
- Interaction with trainer, with ability to apply principles to specific work conditions;
- Immediate answers to questions, benefitting all attendees;
- Employees typically pay closer attention;
- Proper emphasis on relative importance;
- Preventative measures emphasized;
- Live training confirms company commitment to effectively addressing and preventing unlawful or inappropriate workplace conduct; and
- By the bulk of feedback we’ve received, our live sessions are engaging, even fun!
